All i can say is...U Mobile will be a gone case soon..time will tell.

I used to work with UM. I can say tat..the koreans there are really s*** people. Very demanding, very rude, treating the local management staff loike s***. I personally saw a korean man yelling at a management staff, who's a chinese lady. darn rude, i tell u.

yup, they are losing money every year. in fact, their next 5 years projections also indicate they will be losing millions and millions...i heard that startup telcos will not make any profits and lose money in the 1st few years, but in UM's case..i wonder how many more years they will continue to lose money.

the koreans and japs are very stingy with money and investment. not willing to fork out more money for the infrastructure, more backups/redundancy in case of disaster, or network down.

can say that altho they pull so many ex-digi, ex-celcom, ex-maxis staff over, yet the whole management sucks. no proper planning at all. the management chart changes so frequently. i wonder if this always happen to new companies?

the corp comm dept is not doing anything. in fact, there're 2-3 staff in the dept only. no wonder they didnt bother to update the website/newspaper regarding the co's latest news. Or..are they being asked by the shareholders not to do so? Tat'll remain a mystery..

abt billing..yeah its true..me and many other staff worked there for lonnnnnnnng time but we only received 1 statement so far. their billing system always down..always got something not right...Amazing huh...

all in all..UM will be a gone case soon...waiting for the right time only..haha..

Tell me what is FREE if you still have to pay money? Stupid

>>And then u go and say that the U Buddy plan is a con gimmick. Tell me, how exactly is it a con, when you pay RM10 and you get to make on-net calls for 30 hours FREE which are worth close to RM324 (base on the o.3sen per sec)

IF my calculations serve me right, that would make it 18 sen per minute ; X 60 min = RM10.80 per hour X 30 (hours) = RM324.

Hey Justice, why are you so protective of U Mobile and MITV? You sound more like a stakeholder of the company rather than a customer.

I'm commenting from a customer view and if U Mobile can't take criticism at all, then good luck to them in this business. This is not a kindergarten or a training school!

What sort of "positive" comment you want me to give after my own experience? Thank you U Mobile for screwing me! Gambate!!! Good luck!!! Great stuff!!! You try telling that to Streamyx when your line becomes sucky.

If U Mobile expects everyone to be "nice" to them, they can shut down customer service and let all customers sort themselves out. U Mobile should be thankful that people are willing to give feedback and complaints so that they can improve but after countless complaints, they never change. The solution? Change to other telco.

Why do I bring up MITV? Isn't U Mobile previously MITV as well? I have the right to make comparison of a company based on its past history. I'm sorry if I offended anyone but did I say anything wrong that the Cable TV service is dead? Do correct me if I'm missing out on something.

Slicker,

See, now i get a better picture. You speak out of experience, as a customer. And perhaps the treatment that you have received from U Mobile may or has been quite an experience.

I guess, like what you have said, if one has personally been through "hell" then one may want to vent out his/her frustration.

There are some points that i also stand corrected on, given the fact that i admit that the billing system could be better. No doubts, the bill statements do come a little bit late., something they need to work on.

But when u look at rates..i dont see how you can still say that U Mobile has lousy rates.
Perhaps, you are not quite understanding the method of per second block charging.

Maxis is on a 30 sec block. So again, if you say "ok" or "i miss you darling" in 5 seconds, you still pay for 30 seconds. RIGHT?

U Mobile is on a per second charging block. If you say, "ok" or " i miss you" in 5 seconds, you are only paying for 5 seconds.

So how can that be more expensive? Please enlighten me!

So how can that sound con to you. Pls again, enlighten me. Somtimes i think that proper and thorough investigation should be done before making judgement just base on experience.

And then suddenly you start to bring up past history events, to conclude your opinion, such as MiTV and its channels.

Were you one of the few who subscribed to MitV? If not, why the trashing? base on what, do you have the right to comment on that??

And to even say that why dont i bring it up with the Koreans, what right do i have? whether or not i sit in the management chair, or the CEO, or for the matter just a normal employee, or even a customer who is subscribed to U Mobile, i am certain that like any other organisation, they will n i believe they do, have a contingency plan.

So let the big guys play their games, but what we can do, in a positive manner is to give good opinions or tips on how they can improve.

after all, isnt that how anyone improves themselves? with knowing thier mistakes, they learn not to make the same again. But if we trash them with negative thoughts, in what way are helping them? and then u go saying that you wont mind staying with them, if we improve, but ask urself this, what have you done to help, besides critize??

CCOya says [090516] As you've rightly put, talk is cheap but the proof is in eating the pudding. I'm far from taking sides here but frankly, we're all fedup with the number of promises that U Mobile fail to deliver on.

Mobile LiveTV is now dead, the partnership with KTF and NTT DoCoMo didn't bring any innovation to the local telco industry and U Mobile just keep rehashing old plans and calling them new.

You can't deny the fact that amongst all telcos in Malaysia, U Mobile has the least product lineup, the least plans and the least subscribers. Customer service still remains appaling and billing - which is one of the most critical components of any service business - is still in dire straits. In fact, we know of many U Mobile subs who have never received their bills months after they've signed-up and most who've received their bills have been wrongly billed.

After two years in the business and many more years in development, U Mobile still can't the most basic things right. We see the delay in resolving these issues as lax on U Mobile's part.

No point hidding behind the "U Mobile is a new telco" excuse because it's already two years since the telco was launched and with MNP now online there was and still is much opportunity for U Mobile to make a difference in the industry. Unfortunately, they have not.

And of you can't sort out your stuff after over two years being in the business might as well close shop - seriously.

New telcos have many advantages and you only need to look at P1 to see how a new telco who've gotten most things right can become a real choice ofr consumers and a real competitor for other players.

U Mobile is beyond explaining itself in blogs and forums and the such. Since his appointment, Oh Kwang Jin have never made a appearance in the media, have never spoken to journalists, have never agreed to be interviewed. He is the most media-phobic and passive telco CEO in the country.

U Mobile's Corp Communications department is not doing anything, there's scarcely any news on U Mobile in the papers. So until U Mobile pull its finger out, there's really nothing anyone can say to convince us that U Mobile is a credible telco in Malaysia.

In our minds, U Mobile is still the worse telco in Malaysia. Tough.

Unfortunately, they have not.

And of you can’t sort out your stuff after over two years being in the business might as well close shop – seriously.

New telcos have many advantages and you only need to look at P1 to see how a new telco who’ve gotten most things right can become a real choice ofr consumers and a real competitor for other players.

U Mobile is beyond explaining itself in blogs and forums and the such. Since his appointment, Oh Kwang Jin have never made a appearance in the media, have never spoken to journalists, have never agreed to be interviewed. He is the most media-phobic and passive telco CEO in the country.

U Mobile’s Corp Communications department is not doing anything, there’s scarcely any news on U Mobile in the papers. So until U Mobile pull its finger out, there’s really nothing anyone can say to convince us that U Mobile is a credible telco in Malaysia.

In our minds, U Mobile is still the worse telco in Malaysia. Tough.
